Story
An agnostic sex podcaster and a newly single rabbi fall in love; find out if their relationship can survive their wildly different lives and interfering families. Originally named “Shiksa”, which is also the last word spoken in the first episode. I just watched the series. Genuinely funny and captured many of the essences of Jewish family life. Cleverly made, with great characters and acting. Kristen Bell, Adam Brody and other key characters were great, especially Noah’s mother (a traditional Jewish matriarch), Joanne’s sister, Noah’s brother Sacha and Sacha’s wife. I really hope Joanne & Noah’s relationship beyond and see what the future holds for both of them personally and in their careers. I think there is room for character development with both of Joanne’s parents, especially her relationship with her father.
